The Stoller Family
Glen and Terrie Stoller founded Sunridge Nurseries in 1977 and under their leadership it has consistently set the standard for quality, service and innovation in the California wine grape industry. Sunridge is a family-owned and operated corporation, and their son, Craig Stoller, is now CEO.
The Stollers first gained state-wide attention in the 1980's because they were able to provide high-quality phylloxera-resistant rootstocks when the disease began to destroy the wine grape vineyards of Sonoma and the Napa Valley. Since then, Sunridge and the Stollers have continued to be the first to meet the changing needs of the industry by staying at the forefront of science and technology and by insisting upon offering only the best.
Located in Bakersfield, at the southern end of the San Joaquin Valley, Sunridge has more than 600 acres of certified rootstock, scionwood increase blocks and outdoor nursery blocks. The nursery's growing, grafting and storage facilities now total more than 300,000 square feet.
The Stoller Family's interest and expertise in the breeding and development of grape rootstock led them in 2001 to join Jack Pandol, Jr. in establishing IFG®.
Jack Pandol, Jr.
The Pandol family of Delano, California has long been one of the world's foremost producers of table grapes. After completing his education at the University of California at Davis, Jack Pandol co-managed the Pandol Brothers family vineyards with his father and uncles. From 1993 to 1996, Jack took a sabbatical from the family business to serve in the Wilson Administration as the Undersecretary for the California Environmental Protection Agency. After returning to the vineyards, he founded Grapery, a table grape producer dedicated to cutting edge techniques and varieties of table grapes. Jack now travels the world to collaborate with growers, packers, shippers and retailers in order to continuously improve his methods and varieties to produce the highest quality products for his customers.
His innovative approaches, particularly in the area of sustainable farming, produce table grapes that are high in quality, taste and texture. These unique grapes are available at high-end retail outlets throughout the United States and abroad. The Grapery currently markets under the 3 Brothers, Ballantine and Sun Diamond labels.
In 2001, Jack joined forces with Glen, Terrie and Craig Stoller to establish IFG, with the intention of creating new, world-class varieties of table grapes and stone fruits for the world to enjoy. He works closely with Dr. David Cain to take the most promising selections from IFG and apply his expertise to grow, package and ship the very finest new cultivars to worldwide markets. He is excited about this new collaboration with the Stoller Family, Dr. Cain and IFG's domestic and international licensees.
